SYNCHING THE AUDIO, CREATING AVATAR REALITY

 

'They Lie' is an animated video made for Japanese Fighting Fish.
It was co-ordinated with their single release and a prelude to their album 'Day-Bombs'.
The band was filmed performing the song and used as a stepping point in order capture their idiosyncratic movements.
These animated avatars were then thrust into a explosive, zany, semiotic and reductionist world of fat-cats, reptile girls, cheating generals and many more denizens of the world where lies are illustrated bare.
The yellow colour was deliberately used to compliment a black and white style due to both time constraints and providing a symmetry of duplicitous intent as interpreted in western cultures.
